Johanna Engelbarth sang the part of Voce da Cielo in Verdi’s Don Carlo in October 2018 and Najade in the production of Ariadne auf Naxos in Aleksanterin teatteri in August 2016. At the Savonlinna Opera Festival, in July 2015, she debuted as the Queen of the Night and Papagena in the production “Little Magic Flute.” The production was later performed at Helsinki’s Musiikkitalo in January 2016. In October 2015, Engelbarth sang the Fire and Nightingale parts in Ravel’s Enchanted Child, a Sibelius Academy opera production. In December 2014, Engelbarth made her debut in the Finnish National Opera, as Ida in Johann Strauss’ Die Fledermaus. Engelbarth has also performed many other roles during her studies and in smaller productions.

Engelbarth performs regularly in church, operetta and lied concerts and as a soloist in orchestral and choir pieces. These include the Savonlinnan Musiikkiakatemia’s Debussy lied concert, an operetta concert in the Aino Ackté Festival and Eurajoki Bel Canto Festival, as well as the soprano soloist in Mozart’s Requiem, Faure’s Requiem and as the Angel in Respighi’s Christmas Oratorio Lauda per la Nativitá del Signore.
